It would be nicer to get something other than balanced portfolio, real estate, gold. What I have seen is gold declines with stocks. gold seems to lag where spx goes a bit. Real estate has high holding costs in taxes (unlimited ability to tax) and maintenance costs than grow with inflation. I'd like other ideas if anyone else is willing to share.

Thank you Mr. Dalio. I'm a CFA, former PM and student of history. When I explain this to people they stop listening 1-2 minutes into it. People just don't care about the reality of the decisions being made for them by our government. I gave up. When people ask I direct them to Mr. Dalio's media. Not one has ever taken the time to investigate in my life. It's disconcerting. The concept clearly being presented is to move your money into currencies not buried in debt or conflict. The Swiss Franc is a good one. Other countries with sound laws and reasonable debt levels are out there. Investment in these countries are likely to perform well as well. China would be a great place to invest but they have a tendency to take your money through out history and with a likely war with the west....

Don't ask for investment tips in social media platforms. Mostly you'll get replies from scammers. Search in google for some good books (or ask ChatGPT/Gemini) on investment, personal finance. Read them, write down things you've learned and try to think and understand how they can be usefull to your life. Talk or listen to wise successful people, reduce fear and greed and build up knowledge, patience.

It is really mind boggling how Charlie Munger would be on the other side of the coin : "What you need is an investment that you wouldn't need diversification"... But he means it more in a practical way Ray DOES say it: you need *good* bets, but munger has seen it to often that people thinking about diversification buy 15 times crap and end up with a crap portfolio.
